The linkbird toolbar can either be installed on your Firefox or Chrome browser.
The toolbar allows you to add linksources or existing links directly from the browser to your linkbird database. The toolbar also offers a quick overview of the number of backlinks already obtained from the domain/URL you are currently visiting. You will be shown the owner of the page, if it already has been added as a partner in linkbird. It also shows whether you have already added that page to your partner & page network.
To install the toolbar go to "Setup"->"API & Toolbar":
Choose between the Firefox or Chrome Toolbar depending on preferences.
Firefox
To install the toolbar you have to click on the button "Install now" :
After the successful installation you will be asked to restart Firefox. Now, you may click on the blue bird symbol on the bookmarks bar to log in. Enter the login data that is indicated in your "API & Toolbar" section on linkbird:
As soon as you are logged in, the toolbar will be ready to use:
Chrome
If you want to install the toolbar on Chrome, you have to confirm the new extension by clicking on "add".
After having successfully installed the toolbar on Chrome, a blue bird will appear on the top right corner of the browser:
Click on the blue bird and a bar will appear on the right edge of your window, which allows you to log in.
The login details can be found in the linkbird "API & Toolbar" section.
Move your mouse along the toolbar section and the following information will be provided:
Advice
If you intend to download the linkbird toolbar using another browser (e.g. Safari), you are asked to save the file as "linkbird.crx" for Chrome or "linkbird.xpi" for Firefox. Follow the instructions and open the file in the respective browser (Chrome or Friefox).
